Killa (Moon), 2021

Up close, the surface of this work truly reflects the surface of its namesake, the moon. Ana Liz reflects on the importance of the moon, which was a source of inspiration even for her most distant ancestors. Its gravitational pull has an impact all these miles away on earth, moving the seas as it moves closer to the Earth. It is as if the artist has been able to recreate a small piece of the moon here on earth, in order for us to reflect on its mystery, its power, and its beauty, and most of all its important place in the whole complex ecosystem of life on earth.
